Winter Solstice Celebration

December 19th, Wednesday 6 to 8pm with Shannon Kluever

Maybe the forest is a prayer tonight, bent under the weight of all that winter, the whole world on its knees. ~Kathleen Dean Moore

As autumn turns to winter we approach the shortest of all days, the solstice. We hurry to bundle and barricade our selves in defense of deep cold and the weight of darkness. When we come together, we dispel the darkness and create energy, warmth and light. So come join your yoga tribe and we’ll connect through music and movement in a practice designed to lift your spirits and your heart and to remind you that you are part of a community!

Afterward, stay for warm cider and a chat with friends.

We will be accepting non-perishable food items to be donated to the Oregon Food Bank and/or monetary donations.

This workshop costs $25.

About Shannon Kluever

The joy of moving, of breathing in the moment, of beginning to accept our bodies and ourselves as we are---all this offers the possibility of transformation. The path of Hatha yoga unites discipline with a sense of play: on the mat we discover that we can do much more than we think we can! Explore and experience the power that comes from linking breath with movement, find the balance between effort and ease, discover increased strength, stamina and flexibility. For Shannon, yoga has been a life changing practice---a journey back to health and wellness. The path of yoga brings me into balance and it sustains me, it recharges my batteries while cultivating a calm, peaceful confidence that arises from within. My enthusiasm for yoga led me away from a highly stressful career and finally toward teaching what I love. Shannon is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor trained in alignment–based Hatha and Vinyasa Flow at Kripalu in Lennox, Massachusetts.
