Have you had a desire to deepen your knowledge of yoga, but feel weary of signing up for a yoga teacher training? Yoga Bhoga is pleased to announce that we will be offering a 6 week immersion program for students who desire to learn more about the practices of yoga or for those who have done advanced studies and are looking to reconnect to community and their practice.
Yoga teacher trainings have become the predominant format for students to advance their practice and knowledge of yoga. However, many students do not desire being a teacher themselves. Studios offer one-day or weekend workshops but there is an apparent gap for individuals who desire in-depth studies. Yoga Bhoga’s Non-Teacher Training program will give you the ability to develop a home practice (including meditation, pranayama, and asana), a new sense of autonomy with applying the subtle body to your current classes, as well as, application of yogic philosophy to your real world existence. And bonus… you don’t have to teach a final class!
Our curriculum includes a comprehensive series covering many topics taught in 200 hour teacher training programs. Saturday will focus on the eight limbs of yoga, how to take ethical action in your own life, the psychology of the chakra system empowering your path of healing, refinement of asana with direct application to your challenges. Wednesday mornings will be a pure traditional and experiential guided pranayama and asana practice. Friday nights will be an open dialogue with reflection on the history and tradition of yoga prompted by Georg Fruestien’s book, The Deeper Dimensions of Yoga.
Program runs from September 16th through October 26th.
