Have you completed a yoga teacher training and now want to share your knowledge and passion with others? Sometimes this is easier said than done. Maybe you’ve experienced the following:
You’re not sure where to find teaching opportunities but are eager to get experience.
It’s difficult to artfully blend inspiring themes and metaphors into your classes.
Most people don’t move and bend like the other students from your teacher training program.
There is no place to share your teaching victories (and catastrophes) with other teachers who are having similar experiences.
If any of this resonates, you should join Yoga Bhoga’s new program - Beyond Training: Teaching In Action. This is a six month program where you meet, work, and share experiences with other new teachers. It is facilitated by Meghan Maris and Scott Lennartz, who are long time working teachers and who co-teach Yoga Bhoga’s annual teacher training program.
In this program you will have paid teaching opportunities at Yoga Bhoga both as a substitute teacher and as a rotating member of scheduled classes at the studio. There is assigned reading and writing to both inspire and facilitate working with themes and metaphors in your classes. Meghan and Scott will lead monthly meetings where we’ll discuss the common challenges new teachers face, identify practical strategies to use in your teaching, and group discussion about the realities of teaching yoga.
At the end of this program you will be able to better channel your training and blend it with your unique personality so it can better the serve the actual students in your class and in your community.
