Enhance your yoga practice with the ancient tools of Ayurveda!
Ayurveda, considered the sister science of Yoga, is an intricate system of health and healing that originated in India thousands of years ago. Understanding the principles of Ayurveda can enhance the benefits of Yoga by allowing you to tailor your practice to the specific needs of your individual physical and mental constitution.
In this workshop you will learn about the three doshas, or body types (vata, pitta & kapha), and take a quiz to discover your own predominant disposition. You will also learn how to best balance the qualities of your dosha through diet, exercise and other lifestyle adaptations.
Our discussion will be interspersed with a gentle yoga practice tailored for each of the three doshas. We will conclude the afternoon with a relaxing foot massage and tea.
