The Morning Yoga Immersion is designed for students wanting to gain depth in their practice and is a wonderful opportunity to set intentions for the summer solstice. Many of our struggles in life stem from our minds being agitated and easily distracted. The ruffled mind distorts how we view reality. To truly see ourselves, we must first understand how our minds work and then apply ourselves to practice techniques that create a clear and serene consciousness.
The morning practices will include thorough exploration of postures, breathing techniques and meditation. Key aspects of yoga psychology will be introduced and students will be given contemplative prompts for out-of-class journaling and reflection. The two weeks will end with a discussion and review of the material presented. Practicing the subtle nuances of posture, breath, and yoga psychology fosters a greater understanding of one’s self and the way that we relate to others and to the world.
