The Morning Yoga Immersion is designed for students wanting to gain depth in their practice and is a wonderful opportunity to set intentions for the summer solstice. Many of our struggles in life stem from our minds being agitated and easily distracted. The ruffled mind distorts how we view reality. To truly see ourselves, we must first understand how our minds work and then apply ourselves to practice techniques that create a clear and serene consciousness.
The morning practices will include thorough exploration of postures, breathing techniques and meditation. Key aspects of yoga psychology will be introduced and students will be given contemplative prompts for out-of-class journaling and reflection. Practicing the subtle nuances of posture, breath, and yoga psychology fosters a greater understanding of one’s self, the way that we relate to others, and to the world.
Classes meet everyday Monday through Friday June 11th through the 15th. There will be an open silent meditation between 6:00 and 6:15am. We will commence the physical and breath practice at 6:15 (price includes complimentary class attendance to Meghan's Saturday Hatha class at 11am on June 9th and 17th).
