Who teaches the program?

Our program is unique exploration on the art and science of teaching movement. Led by Krista Loveless, director of education at The Practice Space, the program fuses traditional and contemporary pilates, science based teaching theory, anatomy, physiology, neurology, and psychology into its curriculum.

Krista received her BA in dance education and psychology from Marymount Manhattan College in 2005 and quickly pursued her Pilates teaching from the Kane School of Core Integration in New York City. She received her 200hr yoga certification with Meghan Maris and Scott Lennartz at Yoga Bhoga in 2012 and continued her studies for a 300hr advanced practice certification in 2019. Most uniquely, Krista received her Masters in Motor Learning and Control from the Teachers College at Columbia University in the Biobehavioral Sciences Department. The research and academia perspective ignited her passion to teach teachers in the hopes that a student centric and research based perspective will bring a newly effective approach to teaching mindful movement.

Do not hesitate to email krista@thepracticespace.com directly if you specific questions or concerns about the program. This is a big investment of time and money and a coffee date may be just what you need to clarify any concerns you may be having.
